Hi,
I like the theme quite a lot, and was trying it for my new website, but as i was trying it out, i noticed for the slider, it is directly linked to pages. I am new to this so maybe i don’t know how to edit it.
When i go to customize -> Home Page Settings -> Slider Section:
It asks me to select Pages, which would then naturally connect the picture to the page its on, is it not possible to simply have pictures and text, or just pictures even. As i do not want to link the slider to any page, simply want a normal slider. I apologize if its a rookie error, but please help me out in figuring it out.
Thanks, appreciate the help

As you said, it would be lot easier if there was a field to upload a slider and then add caption text. But the theme submission on wordpress.org has some restriction. They don’t allows to create custom content that is why we need to use page to generate the slider.

Could you please share how it was solved.
The Slider Section on Homepage, the pictures in this section are automatically darkened out, almost as there is a dotted pattern that overlaps all pictures, i think it is a part of the design. But i would like the slider section to show the picture clearly, with its original colors.
So i want to have my slider, as it is in this website: http://bereanhomechurch.org/, while currently i have the following : http://www.nepmun.org/testsite
Could you please guide me through, how we do this, as i’m sort of a beginner.
Thanks.

.hs-slide-overlay{ display: none; }
