Hi, I have run a compliance check on our website that uses your Square theme plus a child theme and there are 19 errors detected within the HTML code.

As W3C compliance is very important for SEO ranking is there a way of getting these fixed so that the website becomes W3C compliant?

    thanks
    Kerry

    HI,

We have checked the compliance with WC3 using html validator and found out some error that are mostly related with image alt tag. We may consider this fix in our upcoming updates.

    Thanks

There is also an issue on hoe Google displays the page names. All the page names are followed with the main website name which is not desirable.

is there a way of getting this changed.
Currently pages on Google show as
    Employability Definition – XperiSoft Limited
    when it should be
    Employability Definition

Also Google pulls the tag line into the main website name and then reshows it below in the description, where the website tag should only be shown in the description area. This really needs amending in the code.

    thanks

    Hi,

    Website Name – Page Title
This is how WordPress shows title by default. But you can use some SEO plugins like Yoast SEO plugin to add your own title and meta description.

    Thanks

I currently have a plug in that allows me to change the meta titles and descriptions which I have changed however the website name is still being added even though it is not in the meta description.

Also can you explain the issue with the website tag line being pulled as the title as well as the description please?

    Hi,

It is not a issue. The WordPress pulls Website name and Tagline as website Title by default. And to override it, you may need to use some SEO plugins.

    Thanks
