It just starts with whatever the next “section” I have enabled is. This is ruining the home page of the site, so I will have to try a different theme if it can’t be resolved.
I’ve tried disabling all plugins then changing the theme and resetting it to Total. Nothing seems to make it show up. The other homepage stuff seems to be alright, and I’ve set up new test pages with just the featured image and a short title/description and added them to no avail.
Any ideas?

You need to set up the featured home page as directed in this section https://hashthemes.com/documentation/total-documentation/#SettingFeaturedHomePageasFrontPage of the documentation. Once you set it correctly, the home page will display all the home page elements.
Thanks
January 8, 2019 at 8:52 pm #9802xhinsyParticipantHello,
I’m also experiencing the same issue. Last time I did something on my website was 2 months ago and everything was going fine.
I connected today to make some updates and the home section is going totally crazy. No images, frames, or whatever is being shown. Just the text.
Here’s a printscreen. It’s supposed to be the home section.Tried to deactivate all plugins, remove cache, hard refresh. Nothing changes.
Could you please provide some help?January 8, 2019 at 9:01 pm #9804HashKeymasterOn looking at the screenshot, it seems that the CSS file is not being loaded properly. Please try deactivating and the activating the theme again. Also, try to check in some other browser as well because sometimes it can be because of cache.
If it still does not load then please reply back with your website url so that we can check,
January 8, 2019 at 10:38 pm #9812xhinsyParticipantHello,
Thanks for the quick answer.
Looks like it’s coming from fact that I use a child theme.
When I switch to the mother theme, it looks fine.May I ask you if : the changes made on the child theme (customisations) are also applied/transfered on the mother theme?
Do I need to recreate a child theme everytime I update the Total theme? Many thanks.
January 9, 2019 at 7:26 pm #9816HashKeymasterHi,
The child theme work as a separate theme and no settings are transferred from parent to the child theme nor any change made to the child theme is transferred to the parent theme. Here the setting refers to the customizer setting.
If you have made changes in the child theme then it should not cause any problem to the previously applied setting when updating the parent theme.
Thanks
January 16, 2019 at 7:30 am #9924LacyParticipantThank you! I’m still having an issue though. The photos are loading, but not loading properly. There’s also text over the images.
January 16, 2019 at 8:52 pm #9930HashKeymaster@Lacy you need to upload the feature image for each post and page to make them appear in home page.
Also your slider contains very login text and also image inside the content which is not a good way.
January 17, 2019 at 5:20 am #9936LacyParticipantSorry. I still don’t understand. I’ve set a featured image for every page. Even when I click on the individual pages, the featured images don’t show. Currently, I have all sub-Home page sections disabled, except for the slider. I don’t want the sections (at this time). The texts and images that show up in the slider image on the home page, is the text and images that are part of each individual page that is set to show up in the slider. I don’t know why the content is showing up in the slider on the home page.
January 17, 2019 at 7:17 pm #9945HashKeymasterHi,
The content works as a slider caption so any content including images added to the page will show in the slider. So please make a new page for the slider with little or no text and then assign this page as a slider in the customizer panel.
Also please refer to our documentation which you help you to understand most of the theme settings. https://hashthemes.com/documentation/total-documentation/
Thanks
